About Superform

Superform is the user-owned neobank. We let anyone save, earn, swap, and spend capital directly onchain, without custodians, opaque intermediaries, or banks.

Our platform includes:

  • Superform Protocol: A permissionless smart account layer that compresses actions across chains into a single signature.

  • Superform App: Desktop, iOS, and Android apps that make the protocol accessible through consumer-grade UX.

  • SuperVaults: Institutional-grade, validator-secured vaults that dynamically optimize across fixed and variable rate strategies for USD, BTC, and ETH.

Superform is live across multiple chains, trusted with $130M+ in TVL, 160k+ depositors, and over two years of production uptime with zero exploits. We’re backed by leading investors across TradFi and DeFi, including VanEck, Circle, and Polychain.

With Superform v2 now live on desktop and mobile launches imminent, we’re looking to expand the backend engineering team foundation.

The Role

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to be a swiss army knife across the Superform team, contributing to everything from production-grade Go microservices to the strategy behind a new SuperVault launch. You’ll join a tight team where every line of code ships to thousands of users and millions in assets. Each engineer is a multiplier and you will influence product vision, tech choices, and culture from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Build systems for institutions to create and manage their own SuperVaults.

  • Design and implement APIs, services, and data pipelines that connect the Superform app to onchain infrastructure in real-time.

  • Collaborate with researchers to improve strategy performance, automate re-balancing, and implement ERC-4337 / ERC-7579 account abstraction flows.

  • Maintain high reliability standards (monitoring, alerting, incident response).

  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and team-wide engineering practices.

Who You Are

  • Live and breathe DeFi. ERC-4626 vaults, ERC-7540, ERC‑4337 bundlers, ERC‑7579 smart accounts, ERC-7683 bridges, these are all things you’ve already had direct experience with.

  • Self-starter. You thrive in fast-moving, high-autonomy environments.

  • Design systems that scale 0→1 and 1→10 and know when to kill a proof of concept.

  • Treat tests, monitoring, and post-mortems as first-class engineering work.

  • Communicate early, often, and clearly.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent real-world mastery.

  • Production experience with:

    • Go

    • SQL & scalable data stores (Postgres, ClickHouse, Dagster)

  • Native fluency with blockchain concepts and tooling: vault products, subgraphs, JSON-RPC/Web3 libraries, basic Solidity comprehension.

  • Ability to overlap 09:00-13:00 ET (13:00-17:00 UTC) for stand-ups and pair sessions.

  • Comfort meeting Service-Level-Agreement (SLA) targets. 24 × 7 uptime is table stakes.

Nice to Have

  • Asset management or other traditional finance experience.

  • Deep expertise in on-chain data indexing or real-time market data feeds.

  • Prior work with account abstraction (ERC-4337) or smart-contract wallets.

  • Experience scaling high-volume financial exchanges, HFT systems, or DeFi protocols.

  • Belief in aliens 👽

Remote restrictions

  • Workday must overlap by at least 4 hours with Lisbon, Portugal
